Moving house tips: 6 weeks ahead

Plan for contingencies such as if the day of completion is pushed back, or the new kitchen you are moving to won’t be ready. Start to change your address with the correct start date or get change of address cards made. Get your pets checked up. Put all important papers into one place and, if need be, access medical records and school records ready for the transfer. Visit your new home and make a plan of where all your large items of furniture will be going, including those numbered boxes.
